Council Tax is a local charge on all domestic properties. The Tax is levied by Glasgow City Council to help fund local services such as schools, libraries and refuse collection.
Glasgow City Council is also required by law to collect water and waste water charges on behalf of Scottish Water and these charges are included in your Council Tax bill.
The amount of Council Tax that you will pay is dependent upon the value of your property and the consequent Council Tax Band into which the property has been placed. The band can be found on-line by using the Council’s Tax Band Search facility.
You can pay your Council Tax by a number of different ways.
